01/10/2018 The grievance of the petitioners is that though they are fully eligible for being promoted to the post of Head Constable from the post of Constable and they are possessing all requisite eligibility criteria but for some reasons, the promotion process has not been initiated. 2.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that there is already a representation made in this regard to respondent no.2 which is pending consideration since long and therefore, an appropriate direction may be given for deciding the same.

Given the aforesaid facts, let respondent no.2 take a decision on the representation of the petitioners at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order passed by this Court. Needless to mention that the authority concerned would take a decision objectively taking into consideration the Rules and Regulations as also the availability of vacancies and the entitlement of the petitioners. 4.
