1. The limited relief that petitioner has sought for in the present writ petition is for appropriate direction to the respondent No. 2 & 4 for taking appropriate decision so far as grant of increment to the petitioner for the period during which the petitioner's services was on ad-hoc basis i.e. between 1987-1999.
-22. The claim of the petitioner is based on the judgment of this Court passed in WPS No. 2466/2011 decided on 25.07.2013 and other connected writ petitions disposed off on later dates in respect of same department.
3. Without entering into the merits of the case, this Court is of the opinion that ends of justice would meet if the respondents are directed to consider the representation which the petitioner has made claiming for increment for the ad-hoc service rendered between 1987-1999 in the light of the judgment of this Court in WPS No. 2466/2011.
4. Let an appropriate decision be taken at the earliest preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case. Authorities are expected to take a decision purely in accordance with the rules, regulations and circulars governing the field.
