2. Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners' land has been acquired for Belpali Canal Project by the Water Resources Department in the year 2012. However, while calculating the amount of compensation, the solatium has not been paid to the petitioners.

3. If the petitioners feel dissatisfied with the adequacy of the amount of compensation offered to them, the appropriate course is to move an application under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894.

4. The petitioners may move such application, which shall be considered by the competent authority in accordance with law.
