1. The limited grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is that though in-spite of petitioner's all requisite eligibility criteria for promotion to the post of Accountant and the post of Accountant also lying vacant and the respondents are not considering the claim of the petitioner for promotion.
2. The further contention of the petitioner is that as on date, he is the only person who is eligible for promotion in the department.
3. Given the aforesaid submission, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No. 2 and 3 to consider and decide the claim
of the petitioner so far as his claim for promotion to the post of Accountant is concerned.
4. It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to apprise the respondent No. 2 and 3 so far as the order passed by this Court is concerned. This Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case so far as entitlement of the petitioner is concerned. Let appropriate decision be taken at the earliest preferably within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
