1. The relief sought for by the petitioner in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion to the post of PGT (Physics).

2. Counsel for the petitioner at the outset submits that he has already made a representation to the respondents No.1 & 4 in this regard and prays for a direction to the respondents to take a decision on the said representation.

3. Given the nature of dispute, particularly taking note of the fact that the petitioner is substantially working as PGT (Maths) and he is seeking promotion against PGT (Physics), let the petitioner in this regard make an additional fresh representation to the respondents No.2 to 4, who in turn shall consider the same in accordance with the Rules and Regulations governing the field and an appropriate decision be taken on the said representation at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order

4. With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
