1. The applicant has preferred this application for grant of bail as he is arrested in connection with Crime No.526/2016, registered in Police Station : Purani Bhilai, District Durg, for offence under Section 20-B and 27-A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
2. The concerned police has allegedly recovered 32.600 kg of Ganja from joint possession of the applicant Sandeep Tiwari, Bhauram Songade and Rajesh Agrawal.
3. Material available in the case diary demonstrates that on secret information the concerned police raided and recovered 13.05 kg of Ganja from the house of Rajesh Suryavanshi, Smt. Purnima and Sarita. Rajesh Suryavanshi informed the police that he had purchased Ganja from Pukhraj Jain. Thereafter the police intercepted Pukhraj Jain and
recovered 56.44 kg of Ganja from joint possession of Pukhraj Jain and Chaitram which they had stored in Alto Vehicle bearing registration No.CG-08A/8765. Pukhraj Jain in turn informed the police that he has purchased Ganja from the present applicant. Thus lastly the police searched the rented house of the applicant and recovered 32.600 kg of Ganja from joint possession with Bhauram Songade and Rajesh Agrawal.
4. Considering the quantity of contraband seized from possession of the accused persons, present is not considered to be a fit case for grant of bail. Accordingly, the application is rejected. Let the trial Court expedite the trial and conclude the same at the earliest. The applicant may revive his prayer after examination of the seizure witnesses. Sd/- Judge (Prashant Kumar Mishra) Barve
