The issue involved in this case is with respect to the issuance of caste certificate after promulgation of the Chhattisgarh Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Other Backward Classes (Regulation of Social Status Certification) Act, 2013. The entire procedure has been prescribed in the Act and the applicant has to file an application before the competent authority as envisaged under the Act & Rules,
2013. Therefore, the petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioners that they may file appropriate application before the competent authority, if so advised. It is observed that if such application is made, it shall be dealt with according to the Act & Rules of 2013.
