1. Heard.

2. These are the two bail applications filed under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of regular bail to the applicants, who have been arrested in connection with Crime No.80/2017, registered at Police Station Bagbahara, District Mahasamund (CG) for the offence punishable under Section 20(b) of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act,1985.

3. The applicants have been arrested for possessing illicit Ganja weighing 8.900 Kg. The recovery was made when the concerned Police intercepted the applicants while they were travelling from Orissa to Chhattisgarh on a motorcycle at National Highway No.353 near Bagbahara.

4. Learned counsel for the State would oppose the bail applications. However, she would submit that the concerned SHO or SHO of the native place have not reported any previous criminal antecedent of the applicants.

5. Considering the fact that the applicants are in jail since 18.4.2017; the investigation is complete as the charge sheet has already been filed and; the applicants are the first offenders, this Court is inclined to release the applicants on regular bail.

6. Accordingly, the applications are allowed and the applicants are directed to be released on bail on each of them executing a

personal bond for a sum of Rs.25,000/- with one surety each for the like amount to the satisfaction of the trial Court. They are directed to appear before the trial Court on each and every date given by the said Court.
