1. The challenge in the present writ petition is to the impugned order Annexure P-1 dated 25.01.2018 whereby the petitioner has been inflicted with an order of punishment of stoppage of three annual increments with cumulative effect.

-22. According to the petitioner, he has immediately preferred an appeal against the said order on 08.03.2018 and appellate authority till date has not taken a decision.

3. Given the aforesaid facts, this Court is of the opinion that ends of justice woule meet if the appellate authority is directed to ensure that appeal which the petitioner has preferred and which is pending consideration may be decided at the earliest preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to apprise the appellate authority so far as the order passed by this Court is concerned.
