1. The limited prayer that petitioner makes at the outset is for an appropriate direction to the respondents to consider and decide the claim of the petitioner for grant of family pension.

2. According to the petitioner the said claim is still pending before the authorities and no final orders has been passed.

3. Given the aforesaid submission made by the counsel for the petitioner, let respondent No. 2 shall consider and process that claim of the petitioner for grant of family pension in accordance with service regulations governing the field at the earliest preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
