Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in light of judgment of the Supreme Court in the matter of Amardeep Singh Vs. Harveen Kaur (AIR 2017 SC 4417), cooling off period, can be waived.

This writ petition is disposed of at motion stage. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file application before the learned Family Court for early hearing of the case and the same may be considered on its merits and decided in accordance with law. 4.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of at motion stage itself.
