The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner was subjected to departmental enquiry vide charge sheet dated 11.08.2010 and that more than 8 years have lapsed, enquiry has not been finally concluded. It is also the contention of the petitioner that even enquiry has been completed and enquiry report has also been submitted on 04.01.2017 and even then the respondent authorities have not taken any final decision and therefore prays for a direction to the respondents to ensure that an early decision is taken on the said departmental enquiry which is pending against the petitioner.

The said prayer is not opposed by the respondents. 3.
Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the disciplinary authority to take a decision on the departmental enquiry initiated against the petitioner at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to apprise the disciplinary authorities so far as order of this court is concerned.
