1. The claim of the petitioner in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondents to consider grant of two advance increments to the petitioner for having acquired PHD.

2. According to the petitioner as per the circular of the State Government dated 08.05.1973 the petitioner is entitled for two

-2advance increments. Case of the petitioner has already been forwarded by the Respondent No. 4 to the respondent No. 3 but till date no decision as such has been taken by the respondent No. 3.

3. Given the said facts, let respondent No. 3 take an appropriate decision so far as the claim of the petitioner for grant of two advance increment on acquiring PHD be decided at the earliest preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to apprise respondent No. 3 so far as the order passed by this Court is concerned.

4. Respondent No.3 is expected to take a decision on the basis of prevalent rules and regulations so far as grant of advance increment on acquiring PHD is concerned.
