The defaults pointed out by the Registry of this Court in the instant case stand ignored as of now.

Heard the matter finally on admission stage with the consent of learned Counsels appearing for their respective parties. 3.

Grievance of Petitioner in the present Writ Petition is only to the extent that the recruitment process, which was initiated by Respondents for filling up of the post of Sanitary Inspector vide Advertisement dated 16.2.2018, has till date not been finalized.

Learned Counsel for Petitioner submits that written examination was conducted and result was declared on 14.6.2018 and Petitioner was declared eligible candidate for the said selection from the provisional select list that was published on 17.9.2018, however, thereafter no further development took place. Learned Counsel for Petitioner further submits that, meanwhile, the Respondents themselves have vide order dated 7.12.2019 extended the validity of the said select list for a further period of 6 months, that is, till 7.6.2020, but no development still took place within this extended period of 6 months also. Thereafter, the Petitioner is not aware whether the validity has been further extended or not. Petitioner has been repeatedly approaching Respondent No.2 for completing the recruitment process at the earliest, but there has been no response received till date.

Given the limited grievance that the Petitioner has and taking into consideration the aforesaid factual matrix, the Writ Petition at this juncture is disposed of with a direction to Respondent No.2 to look into the grievance of Petitioner and intimate him about the outcome of the said select list that was published as early as on 17.9.2018 so far as filling up of the post of Sanitary Inspector is concerned.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed anything on the merits of the case. The authorities are expected to take a decision purely in accordance with the rules governing the field.

Writ Petition accordingly stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction/observation.
