1. The claim of the petitioner in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondents to take a decision on the claim of the confirmation in service on completion of initial period of probation of two years and the representation of the petitioner is pending consideration before the authorities concerned.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that meanwhile people who have been appointed along with the petitioner and subsequently have got promotion and for no reason the petitioner has not been granted promotion only on account of non issuance of a formal order of confirmation.

3. Given the aforesaid grievance of the petitioner, the writ petition at this juncture is disposed of directing the respondent No. 2 & 3 to take an appropriate decision so far as the request of the petitioner for confirmation from the date of completion of probation at the earliest within a period of 60 days. That the authorities concerned would also consider whether the petitioner can be promoted at par with his immediate junior if the petitioner otherwise fulfills all other eligibility criteria.
