1. Heard.

2. This petition has been brought before this Court challenging the action taken by the respondent authorities for acquiring the land of the petitioners without giving any information to him and without initiating land acquisition proceedings.

3. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is the owner of the land bearing Khasra No.4/1 situated at Village Hatkachora, Jagdalpur, District Bastar. The petitioner made enquiries and he came to know that the land under his ownership has been acquired by the State for respondent No.5. The petitioner has filed a representation before respondent No.6 praying that his land has been acquired for which no acquisition proceedings have been drawn nor any compensation has been paid to him. His representation dated 4.9.2021 is pending without any response.

4. Learned counsel for the State submits that appropriate orders may be passed.

5. Considering the submissions of learned counsel for the parties, the petition is disposed off at the motion stage itself. Respondent No.6/Collector is directed to consider the representation filed by the petitioner and in case, the petitioner choses to file any fresh representation, he is granted liberty to do the same. The concerned Collector is directed to decide the earlier representation as also the fresh representation, if any,

within a period of 60 days from today and in case, the petitioner's land is acquired for the purpose of respondent No.5, then, in that case, proper acquisition proceedings may be drawn.
