The applicant is apprehending his arrest in connection with Crime No.22/2013 registered at Police Station - Anti Corruption Bureau, Bilaspur (CG) for alleged commission of offences under Section 13 (1) e & 13 (2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 2.

Case of the prosecution is that the applicant while working as Assistant Grade III amassed huge wealth in the form of movable and immovable properties. 3.

Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the respondents have wrongly proceeded to register FIR. The applicant should have been informed before registering FIR against the applicant so that he would be in a position to explain his income and valid possession of property. He submits that the applicant's wife and son, both are working. Therefore, if any property is recorded in his name, it cannot be said that it is disproportionate. Therefore, the applicant may be granted bail. 4.

On the other hand, learned State counsel opposes bail application and

submits that in a raid made in the farm house of the applicant, details of property and cash amount have been found which show that the applicant has amassed huge wealth in the form of movable and immovable property. 5.

Taking into consideration the submission of learned counsel for the parties and the material collected so far, I am not inclined to grant bail to the applicant. Accordingly, the application is therefore rejected. Sd/- (Manindra Mohan Shrivastava) Judge Deepti
