1. The grievance of petitioner in the present writ petition is to the extent of the inaction on the part of the respondents in not releasing the payment of gratuity and the amount of leave encashment on account of the petitioner's retirement from service.

2. The petitioner stood retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 30.06.2021. According to the petitioner, he has received all other dues except for the payment of gratuity and the amount towards leave encashment.

3. The documents collectively marked as Annexure P-1 show that the department has already passed an order so far as the entitlement of gratuity and leave encashment part is concerned but till date the payment has not been made to the petitioner. Hence, the present writ petition.

4. Given the limited grievance that the petitioner has, the respondents are hereby directed to ensure that the entire admissible dues payable to the petitioner towards payment of gratuity and the amount under leave encashment be released to the petitioner forthwith, preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order, failing which the entire amount shall carry interest @ 10% per annum from the date of retirement till the date of actual payment.
