The illegal construction raised by the petitioner on government land has been demolished in an action taken pursuant to order passed by the Division Bench in WP (PIL) No.3/2017 (Dhaneshwar Singh and another vs State of Chhattisgarh and others), decided on 11.07.2017.

Petitioner claims to be in settled possession of the land for last about 20 years, however, there is no document or grant showing petitioner's prima facie ownership. Therefore, no relief can be allowed in favour of the petitioner in this writ petition. If the petitioner so desires, he may institute a duly constituted suit to establish his title and seek compensation, if permissible in law. 3.
The writ petition stands disposed of.
