The limited prayer that the petitioner makes at this juncture is for an appropriate direction to the respondents to consider his claim so far as his not being considered for promotion along with his immediate juniors who were promoted long back.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, in between, the petitioner was subjected to Departmental Enquiry and was also inflicted with punishment vide order dated 11.06.2007.

Given the aforesaid limited grievance that the petitioner has, without entering into the merits of the case so far as the claim of the petitioner for promotion is concerned, let the respondents consider and decide the claim of the petitioner at the earliest preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 4.
