1. The limited grievance that the petitioner has raised in the present writ petition is for appropriate direction to the respondents to pay pension and pensionery benefits to the petitioner on the death of her husband.

2. According to the petitioner her husband was working as a Watchman under the contingency establishment of the respondents and he was initially appointed in the year 1989 and continued to work up till 12.04.2017 when he died in harness. According to the petitioner, her husband has put in about 28 years of service, hence he becomes

-2entitled for the pension under the pension rules applicable for contingency paid employees. He further submits that the claim of the petitioner till date has not been rejected by the respondents.

3. Given the said facts and circumstances of the case, let respondent No. 2 & 3 take appropriate decision so far as entitlement of the petitioner for pension is concerned in terms of the rules governing the field.

4. Let a decision be taken within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the aforesaid observations, the present Writ Petition stands disposed of.
