1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is the inaction on the part of the respondent No. 1 in deciding the appeal that the petitioner has preferred.

2. According to the petitioner, he was placed under suspension vide order dated 24.09.2020. Against the said order, the petitioner earlier has preferred a writ petition i.e. WP(S) No. 4295/2020 and this Court vide order dated 03.11.2020 disposed of the same directing the petitioner to prefer a departmental appeal since the order of suspension being an appealable order.

3. It is said that the petitioner thereafter immediately preferred an appeal on 03.12.2020 however till date the appeal stands undecided and which has forced the petitioner to approach this Court again.

4. Given the limited grievance that the petitioner has, the writ petition at this juncture is disposed of directing the respondent No. 1 to ensure that the departmental appeal that the petitioner has preferred is decided at the earliest preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
