1. The petitioner in the present writ petition seeks for a direction to the respondents to consider her claim for compassionate appointment.

2. The facts of the case is that the father of the petitioner was working under the respondents on the post of Headmaster where he died in harness on 29.10.2012. The petitioner herein moved an application for grant of compassionate appointment, which according to the petitioner, is still pending before the authorities concerned.

3. Given the submissions by the counsel for the petitioner, the respondents No.2&3 are directed to take an appropriate decision on the claim of the petitioner in accordance with policy governing the field at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The respondents are expected to consider the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment commensurate to the policy decision that the respondents have.
