1. Heard.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the limited grievance of the petitioners is that the petitioners are the senior citizens and a petition under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 was filed by them before the appropriate authority seeking certain redressal against the respondents, however the said application though was filed on 6/10/2020, the case is being adjourned from time to time and no fruitful hearing are being conducted which otherwise defeat the very purpose and object of the Act.

3. Perused the Section 5 of Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act,

2007 and the order sheet.

4. The service was effected on the respondents on 14/10/2020, thereafter it appears that the case is adjourned for some reason or the other. Considering the fact and the nature of application made which is also filed as Annexure P-2, also considering the plight of the senior citizens, it is directed that the Maintenance Tribunal shall decide the petition filed by the petitioners within a further period of 45 days from the date of receipt of this order.
