1. The limited claim of the petitioner in the present writ petition is for appropriate direction to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Deputy Director.

2. According to the petitioner he is presently discharging his duties on the post of Registrar and he is eligible for becoming Deputy Director in terms of the rules governing the field. According to the petitioner the post of Deputy Director is also lying vacant. He further submits that the reason why petitioner has come to this Court is that the time left for petitioner to retire

from service is too short a period and he is retiring from service on 31.05.2021, therefore unless respondents take prompt steps for holding promotion process before that, the petitioner may put to substantial loss.

3. State counsel does not oppose the request of the petitioner for deciding his representation in respect of his promotion.

4. With the aforesaid submissions made by the counsel for the parties, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondents no.1 & 2 to consider and decide representation of the petitioner taking into consideration the fact that he is retiring in a very short span of time, at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition accordingly stands disposed of.
