1. Heard on petition.

2. It is submitted that the present petition has been brought only praying for issuance of direction to the Court concerned. It is submitted that the

-2petitioner has filed an election petition under Section 20 of C.G. Municipal Council Act, 1961 against the private respondent No.1. From the date of filing of that petition that is 22.01.2021, the case is pending without any progress so far. Therefore, it is prayed that the learned Court below be directed to expedite the proceeding.

3. Learned State counsel has no objection with the petition being disposed off with direction.

4. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents filed along with the petition.

5. After considering on the submissions, this petition is disposed off at the motion stage. The learned Court of District Judge, Bilaspur is hereby directed to take up the proceeding expeditiously in M.J.C. Civil No.43 of 2020 and dispose off the same within a period of 06 months.
