1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is the inaction on the part of the respondents in not settling the GPF amount payable to the petitioner on his retirement.

2. The facts of the case is that the petitioner was working under the respondents as Lecturer and stood retired from service w.e.f. 31.03.2015 but till date the GPF amount has not been paid to him. According to the petitioner he has also filed a writ petition WPS No.7082 of 2018 which was disposed of on 27.10.2018 and the matter was directed to be placed

-2before the Pension Redressal Committee constituted by the State Govt. Thereafter since there was no further development, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.

3. Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, the counsel for the parties have brought to the notice of the court an order passed by the Pension Redressal Committee dated 08.01.2021 and in the said order the Committee has ordered that dues payable to the petitioner has to be settled at the earliest.

4. Given the fact that the Pension Redressal Committee has recommended the claim of the petitioner for release of the GPF amount vide their letter dated 08.01.2021, this court is of the opinion that the writ petition at this juncture can be disposed of directing the respondents No.2 to 7 to ensure that dues payable to the petitioner under GPF account is settled in terms of the order dated 08.01.2021 at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
