1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is the incorrect date of birth entered in the service book of the petitioner.
2. Counsel for the petitioner refers to Annexures P-1 i.e. the Middle School Certificate issued in the year 1983 and Annexure P-2 i.e. the Higher Secondary School certificate issued in the year 1987. In both the certificates, the date of birth has been reflected as 05.10.1963 whereas in the service record of the petitioner, the date of birth has
been reflected as 05.08.1960. Counsel for the petitioner refers to Annexure P-6, Implementation Instruction No.76 which is a mechanism derived by the respondent establishment for settling the issue pertaining to the date of birth. The petitioner makes a submission that his case has never been considered in terms of Implementation Instructions No.76 though he has made repeated representations in this regard.
3. Given the said facts and circumstances of the case, let the respondents consider the claim of the petitioner so far as correction of his date of birth is concerned in terms of Implementation Instructions No.76 at the earliest, preferably within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
