1. This petition has been brought seeking issuance of direction to the respondents for expediting the mutation proceeding and concluding the same within a time frame.

2. The petitioner and his brothers filed application for mutation with respect to the property which he and his brother had acquired. The copy of order sheet Annexure- P/1 is produced to show, that the proceeding is continuing from 26.03.2016 and the same is pending only for the reason that the report of respondent No.3 has not been submitted till date. It is almost 5 years that have passed and the proceeding is going on indefinitely because of the inaction of the respondent No.3, as well as

-2respondent No.2. Hence, it is prayed that specific direction may be issued in this respect.

3. Learned State counsel appearing for respondent No.1 makes formal objection.

4. Considered on the submissions. The petition is disposed off at the motion stage. The respondent No.2 is directed to expedite the proceeding in the mutation Case No.19/A 6 (A) of 2016-17 filed by this petitioner, by taking submission of report from respondent No.3 as early as possible and conclude the proceeding preferably within a period of 60 days from the date this order is passed.
