1. Heard on petition.

2. It is submitted by the counsel for the petitioner, that the petitioner is being prosecuted in the Criminal Case No.11722/2015 before the Court of learned Judicial Magistrate First Class, Durg. The charges were framed against the petitioner on 30.6.2017. Subsequent to which the case has been posted on number of dates, but there is no sufficient progress so far. Out of total 32 witnesses in the witness list so far only 6 witness have been examined. Therefore, because of the delay in the trial, the petitioner is getting harassed, hence, it is prayed that this Court may issue direction for expeditious conclusion of the trial against the petitioner.

3. Learned State counsel opposes the submissions made in this respect. It is submitted that there are number of witnesses yet to be examined in

-2the trial and expeditious trial can be ordered, but no time limit should be fixed.

4. After considering on the submissions. The petition is disposed off at the motion stage. The learned trial Court is directed to take-up proceeding in the case mentioned hereinabove expeditiously and make all efforts to dispose off the same preferably within a period of six months.
