1. The challenge in the present writ petition is the order of suspension dated 08.12.2020 passed by the respondent No.2. The order of suspension has been issued invoking Rule 9 of the Chhattisgarh Civil Services(Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules. Rule 23 of the said rules provides for an appeal against the order of suspension. The petitioner in the instant case seems to have not availed the remedy of appeal.

2. Reserving the right of the petitioner to prefer an appeal against the impugned order the present writ petition stands disposed of. In the event if

the petitioner prefers an appeal to the Appellate Authority, the Appellate Authority is expected to take a decision within a period of 45 days from the date of filing of the appeal.
