1. The limited relief that the petitioner has sought in the present writ petition is for a direction to the respondent No.2 to decide the appeal of the petitioner against the order of punishment, which has been inflicted on the petitioner.

2. The earlier appeal, which was decided by the respondent No.2 stood set-aside by this Court on 07.12.2017 in WPS No. 6692/2017.

3. Given the aforesaid direction by this Court on 07.12.2017 in the aforesaid writ petition, this Court is of the opinion that the claim of the petitioner seems to be justified. Accordingly the present writ petition stands disposed off with a direction to the respondent No.2 to take a decision on the appeal of the petitioner at the earliest

preferably within a period of 45 days from the date of presentation of the order passed by this Court.

4. With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed off.
