The present petition is for correction of date of birth of Class-10 th Mark Sheet (Grade Sheet Cum Certificate of Performance) bearing Roll No.6152859, Registration No.B114/10316/0079 from 04.11.1999 to 04.11.1998. It is stated that the petitioner was born on 04.11.1999 and the date of birth of the petitioner in the School was described as 04.11.1998. It is submitted that because of the date of birth has wrongly been shown in the Mark Sheet (Annexure P-1), the petitioner would suffer various obstruction during her life-time and despite the notices and reminders and letters issued to the respondent No.1 & 2, they have failed to act on

it. It is submitted that the petitioner has not committed any fault, therefore, the date of birth of the petitioner may be directed to be corrected. 2.

Mr. T.K.Tiwari, learned counsel for the respondent No.1 & 2 appears and make his submission.

Heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents. 4.

Perusal of the documents filed by the petitioner would show that the date of birth as shown in the birth certificate is 04.11.1998 that of the petitioner. The earlier mark sheet of Class-10th which is issued by the School, the date of birth is shown as 04.11.1998. Various communications have been placed on record addressed to the respondents wherein request was made to the respondents to correct the date of birth of the petitioner. After perusal of the documents specially the date of birth certificate issued by the competent authority under the Registrar, Birth & Death Registration, Chhattisgarh, wherein the date of birth of the petitioner is shown as 04.11.1998, it is directed that the respondents shall correct the date of birth of the petitioner from 04.11.1999 to 04.11.1998 in respect of the Grade Sheet cum Certificate of Performance, Roll No.6152859 for the year 2012-14.

The petitioner shall oblige to sent back the original mark-sheet to the CBSE so that the correction may be carried out and fresh mark-sheet can be issued. The petitioner should pay a demand draft of Rs. 1,000/- in the name of Secretary of CBSE Bhuvneshwar and the demand draft shall be submitted before CBSE.

Upon receipt of the documents, necessary steps shall be carried out to ensure to record the date of birth of the petitioner as 04.11.1998 in the mark-sheet and fresh mark-sheet be issued in favour of the petitioner. It is further directed that the aforesaid action shall be carried out within a

period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order along with the documents and the entire formalities be completed and fresh mark sheet be issue to the petitioner.
