The applicant has preferred this application for grant of bail as he is arrested in connection with Crime No.24/2011 registered in Police Station Anti Corruption Bureau, Raipur District Raipur (C.G.) for offence punishable under sections 13(1)(e) & 13(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

As per the prosecution case, on 29/04/2011 a raid was conducted in the house of the applicant and disproportionate properties were recovered. Subsequently, it was found that applicant was in hold of Rs.47,18,555/- as disproportionate income as he was working as Executive Engineer in Housing Board.

Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the charge sheet has been filed, no further investigation is necessary and the applicant has retired, therefore the applicant may be released on bail. 4.
Learned State counsel opposes the prayer for grant of bail. 5.
Perused the case diary and the documents. The incident is of the year 2011, further taking into fact that applicant has already retired,
charge sheet has been filed, the applicant has been shown to be 66 years of age and also considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this court is inclined to release the applicant on bail. 6.
Accordingly, the bail application is allowed and it is directed that the applicant shall be released on his furnishing personal bond for a sum of Rs.25,000/- with one surety in the like sum to the satisfaction of concerned trial court for his regular appearance before it as and when directed.
