None appears for the petitioner even when the matter is called on two occasions.

The relief sought for by the petitioner in the instant Writ Petition is for issuance of direction to the respondents for grant of fixed basic pension of Rs.29,465/- + relief with effect from 01/01/2006.

The relief sought for by the petitioner is based upon a directive given by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of All India Judges Association & Ors. v. Union of India & Ors. [WP (S) (Civil No. 643/2015 decided on 27/03/2018] and other connected SLP's. 4.

It has been informed that the State of Chhattisgarh is already in the process of making appropriate amendments in the said rules.

Given the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court does not intends to keep the Writ Petition pending, rather ends of justice would meet if the Writ Petition is disposed off with a direction to the respondent No.1 to ensure that the order passed by the Supreme Court in the case of All India Judges Association (Supra) is complied with at the earliest and thereafter appropriate benefit be granted to the petitioner and all the similarly placed persons.

Since, the matter is already under process by the respondents, it is expected that the respondent No.1 shall ensure appropriate decision be taken by the State Government at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days.
