1. The case of the petitioner is that the award was passed on 30/07/2016, however though award was passed compensation has not yet been released. Thereafter, the matter was referred to the Arbitrator wherein the Arbitrator has passed the award on 17.08.2017 and the award was enhanced.

2. It is contended that the petitioner has moved a representation to release the amount but no order has been passed for releasing the same.

3. Let the concerned Land Acquisition Officer make payment of the amount awarded by the Arbitrator within a period of one month from today.

4. The petitioner's entitlement to interest on the awarded amount is left open to be determined as and when the petitioner makes such prayer and prefers fresh writ petition for which liberty is reserved in his favour.
