1. The grievance of the petitioner is that the father of the petitioner died in harness on 17.11.2013 and the petitioner moved an application for compassionate appointment on 06.07.2015 i.e. after about more than 1 1⁄2 years.

2. According to the petitioner, the said application till date has not been decided by the respondents and makes a prayer that the respondents in the department may be directed decide the same in accordance with scheme for compassionate appointment applicable in the department.

3. The said prayer is not opposed by the respondents.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction that the concerned respondents shall consider and decide the

application of the petitioner for compassionate appointment in accordance with scheme for compassionate appointment applicable in the department at the earliest. In case, if the application has already been decided, no further decision need to be be taken by the respondents in this regard, reserving the right of the petitioner to challenge the said decision.

5. The writ petition stands disposed off.
