1. The limited relief that the petitioners have sought for in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondents in ensuring that RRC proceedings initiated in favour of the petitioners be executed at the earliest.
2. The facts of the case is that, the petitioners were working as Assistant Teachers under the respondent No.5-aided private school and they have retired from service w.e.f. 31.07.2014 and 31.05.2015 respectively. Subsequently, they approached the Controlling Authority under the Payment of Gratuity Act for release of gratuity amount and which stood allowed in their favour. Thereafter, the authorities have also directed the District Collector for execution of the said order and that the District
-2Collector thereafter has further directed the Tehsildar for ensuring RRC proceedings, but more than an year now there is no development on RRC proceedings.
3. Given the limited relief that the petitioners have and also considering the fact that the petitioners have already an order in their favour for payment of gratuity by the Controlling Authority under the Payment of Gratuity Act and also there is an order of RRC proceedings in favour of petitioners, the respondents No.2 & 4 are directed to ensure that necessary steps for ensuring appropriate RRC proceedings is initiated and completed at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
4. The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of. It shall be the duty of the petitioners to apprise the respondents No.2&4 so far as order passed by this court is concerned for necessary compliance. Sd/- (P. Sam Koshy) Judge inder
