Counsel for the petitioner at the outset prays for the disposal of the writ petition with liberty to approach the respondent No.2 by way of a Mercy Petition, which the respondent No.2 may consider on its own merit.

The aforesaid relief sought for by the petitioner is not opposed by the State counsel.

Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of at this juncture with liberty to the petitioner to prefer a Mercy Petition to the respondent No.2, who in turn may decide the same in accordance with law at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.
