1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is the inaction on the part of the respondents in considering/deciding the claim of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment.

2. According to the petitioner, her father namely Late Shri Samarnath Markam was working on the post of Assistant Sub Inspector who died in harness on 27.08.2015. Thereafter, the petitioner moved an application for grant of compassionate appointment which till date has not been finalized by the authorities. According to the petitioner and from her pleadings, the claim of the petitioner seems to be under consideration by the authorities concerned.

3. Given the said facts as submitted by the counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents No.2 & 3 to

-2ensure that the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment is decided on the basis of Rules, Guild-lines and Schemes governing the field at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
