PUD has been received from the presiding officer of the Special Court under N.D.P.S. Act, Raipur praying for extension of time of two months to conclude the trial.

This Court had in M.Cr.C. No.3627 of 2018, on 05.07.2018 directed the trial Court to expedite and conclude the trial within a period of six months, subsequent to which, a request was made by the trial Court for extension of time, which has been considered in Cr.M.P. No.340/2019 on 06.02.2019 and further extension of six months was granted to the trial Court. Thereafter, this second request sent by the same Court praying for extension of two months for concluding the trial. As it is informed that the case is at the stage of recording accused statement, therefore, after due consideration, the request so made is allowed and extension of further two months is granted to the trial Court for concluding the trial in the case concerned. Accordingly, the petition is disposed off.
