This petition has been brought on the ground of inaction of the respondents authorities by not granting registration to the petitioner for selling paddy during the present kharif season.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is owner of agricultural land and he has cultivated paddy on the same. The petitioner filed an application for registration which is necessary, for the purpose of selling the paddy in the paddy purchase center. The petitioner has been orally refused the registration by respondent No.3 and 4 on the ground that the land belonging to the petitioner is not reflected in the Online data present in the computer system. The petitioner is not in any fault in case the

-2online data does not reflect the name of the petitioner and his landed property. It is lapse on the part of the respondents who have failed to make entries. It is submitted that in the previous year the petitioner had to prefer WPC No.2765 of 2020 in which by order dated 09-11-2020 this Court had granted relief. Hence, it is prayed that this petition may also be disposed off and relief be granted to the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the submission and submits that the petitioner himself has failed to seek for proper entry of his landed property in the revenue data and there may be need for verification on his claim. Therefore, the petition may be rejected.

Considered on the submissions. Considering that WPC No.2765 of 2020 earlier filed by the petitioner was entertained by this Court in previous year and by order dated 09-11-2020 the petitioner was granted relief. Therefore, on the same line and on the basis of the submission made by the petitioner side regarding the ownership of the agricultural land, the respondent No.3 and 4 are directed to consider on the application of the petitioner praying for registration for the purpose of sale of his paddy and take decision on the same within a period of 7 days from today.

The petition is disposed off.
