1. Heard.

2. This petition has been brought praying for issuance of direction. The petitioner is a retired member of Indian Army, who was retired from the post of Hawaldar. According to circular dated 09.08.1983 vide AnnexureP/2 of the State Government, there was a provision for allotment of land

-2to non-commissioned ex-soldier by the Collector according to their entitlement. The petitioner filed a representation before respondent No.4 praying for allotment of land in his favor in accordance with circular dated 09.08.1983 on 25.01.2021, but the same has not been decided so far. Therefore, it is prayed that direction be issued to respondent No.4 to take decision on the representation made by the petitioner at the earliest.

3. Learned State counsel for respondents submits that the amended circular has been issued later on 20.10.1989. Therefore, the respondent No.4 may be directed to decide the representation accordingly.

4. Considered on the submissions and perused the documents filed along with the petition, this petition is disposed off at the motion stage.

5. Respondent No.4 is directed to take decision on the representation filed by the petitioner at the earliest within a period of 60 days, taking cognizance of the notification dated 09.08.1983 and also the subsequent circular or notification which may be present.
