The limited grievance that the petitioner has raised in the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondents to forthwith release the pensionary benefits and gratuity that the petitioner is entitled for. 2.
According to the petitioner, it is more than 3 months that the petitioner has been retired from service and till the respondents have not settled the pension and gratuity payable to him. The petitioner is medically ill and he requires frequent dialysis to be conducted and for which the pension and gratuity is required to immediately meet his expenses.

Given the facts, let respondents no. 1, 2 & 3 within a period of 45 days ensure that the pension and gratuity of the petitioner is released to him forthwith. In case the said amount is not released within 45 days unless the petitioner is not entitled for those benefits, the entire amount of pension and gratuity will carry interest at the rate of 10% per annum which can be recovered from the erring officer who does not promptly process the case of the petitioner. 4.
