The dispute brought before this Court pertains to correction of date of birth of the petitioner in his 10th class mark sheet for the examination conducted in the year 2013.

Admittedly, prayer for correction of date of birth is pending consideration before the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Learned counsel appearing for the CBSE would pray for some time to file reply, however, since formal decision has not yet been taken by the CBSE, I deem it appropriate to dispose of writ petition with a direction to the CBSE to decide the petitioner's application in accordance with the extant rules in this regard, within a period of four weeks from today. If the petitioner's application is allowed, the correct mark sheet shall be issued to him immediately within two weeks from the date of decision, however, if there is any legal impediment for allowing the petitioner's application, the CBSE shall inform the petitioner by a reasoned order.

With the aforesaid observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
