1. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has not been promoted on the post of Assistant Sub Inspector, against which, he made representation to respondent No.3, which has not been considered and decided by respondent No.3 till this date.

2. Be that as it may, respondent No.3 is directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order by reasoned and speaking order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on merits of the case.

3. With the aforesaid observation / direction, the writ petition finally stands disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
