1. The limited grievance that the petitioner has is that, though there is an order of respondents for granting revised pay scale to the petitioner w.e.f. 23.06.2013, but the petitioner has been granted the benefit only prospectively. The arrear of pay payable from 23.06.2013 till February, 2017 has not been paid to the petitioner.

2. According to the petitioner, the respondents have also made all requisite calculation and quantified the arrears at Rs.6,31,024/-, however, the respondents till date have not released the same.

3. Given the facts that the respondents themselves have passed the order on 09.02.2017 holding the petitioner being entitled for the revised pay scale from 23.06.2013, this court does not find any good ground why the petitioner would not be entitled for the arrears of revised pay scale from the date it has been made applicable to the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, let the respondents No.2&3 take an appropriate steps in ensuring that the benefit which accrues to the petitioner as per Annexure P/1 dated 09.02.2017 is implemented and executed in its letter and spirit by releasing arrears of payment due to the petitioner within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
