The applicant has preferred this application for grant of bail as he is arrested in connection with Crime No.386/2016 registered in Police Station City Kotwali, Distt. Mungeli (CG) for offence punishable under sections 370(1)(2) IPC and Section 4(A)(G) PITA Act. 2.

As per the prosecution case, a written report was made by the victim on 11/08/2016 that the victim who used to be in the business of prostitution alongwith the applicant had left the said business, however the applicant used to come and threaten the victim and on the date allurement for payment of Rs.3000/- was given for prostitution and thereafter she was taken to Mungeli and tried to commit rape. It is alleged that because of taking advantage of poverty of the victim, the applicant has pressurized the victim for prostitution and when again pressurized, report was made. 3.

Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the report is delayed by 10 days and before that a report was made about theft of Bolero vehicle and as a counter blast this report has been made, therefore the applicant may be released on bail.

Learned State counsel opposes the prayer for grant of bail.

Perused the statement of the victim. Taking into statement and the allegations levelled against the applicant, this court is not inclined to release the applicant on bail.
