The grievance of the petitioner in the instant Writ Petition is that, the petitioner has not been granted promotion to the post of Assistant Grade-III from Class-IV to Class-III category in spite of the fact that juniors to the petitioner have already been promoted much earlier. 2.

The counsel for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner has already made many representations in this regard, one such representation is Annexure-P/5 dated 03/09/2016 which till date has not been decided.

Accordingly, let the respondent No.3 take a decision on the representation of the petitioner at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days comparing the case of the petitioner along with similarly situated persons in the department who have been granted promotion from Class-IV to Class-III category and who according to the petitioner were junior to the petitioner.
