1. The challenge in the present Writ Petition is to the impugned order Annexure P-1 dated 22.08.2019, whereby the petitioner has been transferred from the Office of Senior Agriculture Extension Officer, Block: Patharia, District: Mungeli to the Office of Senior Agriculture Extension Officer, Block: Baikunthpur, District: Korea, (C.G.)

2. The contention of the petitioner is that, the wife of the petitioner is a government employee and is posted at Bilaspur, he might have to be

-2transferred nearby Bilaspur but his request is still pending and the petitioner is transferred to a far off place.

3. On a query being put to the counsel for the petitioner, it has been informed that the petitioner has already stayed for more than 5 years at the present place of posting, as he has already completed normal tenure at the same place.

4. Given the aforesaid facts there is no scope for interference with the impugned order, so far as the policy of the husband and wife to be posted at the same place. This Court is of the opinion that, let the petitioner move an application in this regard on either transferring the petitioner to nearby place, where the wife of the petitioner is posted at present at Bilaspur, if not, the wife of the petitioner may also make a request to the respondents for accommodating her at the place nearby where the petitioner has been transferred vide the impugned order.

5. With the aforesaid observations, the present Writ Petition deserves to be and is accordingly stands disposed off.

6. It is expected that, the State Government would consider the request of either the spouse to be accommodated together at a nearby place at the earliest.
